Listen to the Interview
Hello, and welcome to The Remote Podcast Episode 15. This podcast is all about location independence, digital nomadism, and living life on your terms.
Each week we interview a new guest on the show, and this week I sat down with my friend Danielle Drummond, who is a real estate broker based in Chicago.
Danielle’s story is amazing and full of twists and turns. She started her career working at Marie Claire as an assistant to an editor, living a lifestyle she describes like “The Devil Wears Prada”. It was during this time, her fashion blog Stingy Style started growing in popularity. This, along with her desire to move back to Chicago, pushed her to become a full-time blogger. While blogging full-time, Danielle started freelancing, doing marketing and graphic design for restaurants.
Finally, Danielle had the opportunity to join a real estate company to manage their marketing efforts. Very soon, she realized that working as real estate broker was the most lucrative form of freelancing and the most proven business model. This led her to set off on her own and work for herself once more. Now she has the flexibility to live the lifestyle she desires and to travel in her spare time.
In this week’s episode, we first talk about Danielle’s experiences. Then we focus on how you can get started in real estate and the opportunities to be able to create a thriving online business that allows you to design your ideal lifestyle. I learned a tremendous amount in this interview and can’t wait to share it with you.
